IMPORTANT INFO FOR ALL APPLICANTS: Make sure all materials are submitted to Franklin College in a timely manner upon completion of an application! Once an application is completed, typically it takes 4-6 weeks to hear back with an admissions decision. All FC applications serve as the application for both admissions and financial aid.**
**Early Notification** Students who apply before December 21 will be considered an Early Notification applicant and will be given maximum consideration for all merit based scholarships.

Freshman Students

This application is for students who have not attended any other post-secondary institution.

Required materials: 1) Official transcript submitted by the guidance office or via Docufide, 2) SAT or ACT scores, 3) Secondary School Report completed by your H.S. guidance cousenlor. (Click here to print out the PDF version of the Secondary School Report form)
Application Fee: Our online application is free all year round; however, there is a $40 application fee for those who apply after Dec. 1 with our paper application.
Additional information: While Franklin College no longer requires an essay, students are encouraged to submit a personal statement/writing sample for a more thorough evaluation of their application. FC accepts both SAT and ACT scores, and encourages students to take the Writing portion of the ACT for admission and placement purposes.

Transfer Applicants
You are considered a Transfer Applicant if you have attended another post-secodary institution since graduating from high school. Apply Online Now!
Required materials: 1) Official H.S. transcript or GED certificate, 2) Transfer Student Recommendation Form (PDF format), this form is required for all applicants who have attended another institution since completing high school, 3) SAT or ACT scores with writing section 4) written personal statement***
***Side Note: your written personal statement should be one or two pages, typed and should address why you have chosen to transfer to Franklin College. Students who have been removed from H.S. for more than five years, are not required to submit a transcript or SAT/ACT scores.

International Applicants
If you are not a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, please indicate International when filling out your Application for admission. Complete our online application or print this PDF version to mail us.
Required Information:
- Complete a Franklin College Application for Admission
- Complete the Franklin College International Student Supplement Form
- Submit an official score report for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Franklin requires that international applicants meet one of the following criteria:
- Submit an official copy of SAT or ACT test scores (recommended, but not required)
- Submit an official transcript from all secondary institutions attended
- Submit a personal statement describing why you are applying to Franklin College
- Submit official bank statements displaying sufficient funds to cover the cost of tuition and room and board
International application fee: $40
***Please note** students who have completed level 113 in an English Language Service (ELS) Center do not have to submit an official TOEFL score.
Other Applicants
Note for Home Schooled Students: in addition to materials required for all incoming students, home schooled students should also submit:
- Official transcript of all course work taken (if applicable)
- Portfolios including documents such as:
- Research papers
- Art work
- Community service projects
- Educational trips or programs
- Writing samples
- Other pertinent documents
Running Start: Franklin College offers high school-aged students a unique opportunity to begin their college education on our campus. Through the "Running Start" program, qualified high school students can take freshman-level college courses in English, math, social and natural sciences and humanities. Running Start students will receive college credit for these classes, which may be applied toward a degree at Franklin or any other college or university that will accept the transfer credit. IMPORTANT FINANCIAL AID INFO:
Students will automatically be considered for merit-based scholarships after completing an application. Students who would like to be considered for need-based assistance through institutional, state and federal aid programs should file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1.
