ACADEMIC CALENDAR
Franklin College runs on a 4-1-4 academic calender. What does this mean? It means that there are four months in our Fall semester, four months in our Spring semester but those two semester are broken up by a one month Winter Term that takes place in January. (See below for more information about Winter Term) Want to know when the semester starts? When is Fall Break? To view the current academic calendar, please click here.
WINTER TERM
A unique feature to Franklin College's academic calender is our Winter Term Program. Rather than beginning a full second-semester course load directly after the holiday break, Franklin students enroll in one Winter Term course that lasts only the month of January. Winter Term includes many exciting opportunities for students to be a part of, including non-traditional classes, a study abroad program and internship experiences. With 95% of our students completing at least one internship before they graduate, Winter Term is a great time for students to get an internship experience. Students can focus primarly on their internship to get the most out of their work experience, instead of having to juggle a full class load at the same time.
