Health and Counseling Center

The Health Center, which is staffed by an RN five days a week, is located on the second floor of the Napolitan Student Center in the Counseling and Health Center suite. All students of Franklin College with a health record on file are eligible for services in the Health Center at no charge. The Health Center sees students on a walk-in basis, thus no appointment is necessary.

A local group of family practice physicians are available in the clinic on designated days. The Health center is open Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  The office can be reached by calling (317) 738-8090.

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center, located on the second floor of the Student Center, provides support to all students on an individual or group basis. Students may seek counseling for a variety of psychological issues. The center also offers workshops and consultation to campus organizations on a variety of psycho-social issues.

Confidentiality

The Counseling Center at Franklin College abides by the Ethical Standards of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education. Confidentiality is considered an ethical priority in the counseling center.

Indiana state law and ethical standards obligate a breach of confidence in the following circumstances: (1) clear and imminent danger to client or others, i.e., suicide, homicide; (2) knowledge of current child abuse; and (3) a court order for client records.

The Counseling Center hours are Mon. - Thurs. 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Fri. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m
