Study Abroad

Benjamin Franklin definitely had a sense of adventure. In his time, he traveled to London, Ireland and Scotland, was an ambassador to France, and a minister to Sweden. His travels served him well, giving him a global perspective and a renewed appreciation for home.
Two hundred fifty years later, Franklin College students are learning the same lessons Ben did and more by studying abroad. Students return from places like China, Belgium, Ecuador and Australia with new perspectives, more self-confidence and a keen sense of cultural awareness that will serve them well in our ever-changing global marketplace. Franklin challenges students to push their boundaries by encouraging and funding travel abroad through the Intercultural Honors Program and other scholarships that are designated for traveling students. Whether you want to be gone for a month (during Winter term), a semester, or a summer, the faculty and staff are committed to finding a program that meets your needs!
